Dieter在24年前由擔任兼職學徒開始,踏上了美髮之路。他在2007年Hair Expo中打造的一系列金髮作品集,替他贏得了金髮大師的美譽。經過這些歲月,Dieter當之無愧的樹立起色彩大師的封號,專注於技術教學、提昇創意與沙龍生產競爭力。

 

Dieter started working as an apprentice part-time 24 years ago. He recalled that the “Master of the Blonde” reputation came from Hair Expo 2007, where he did a collection of blonds. Over the years, he has established himself as a mentor for color specialists in hair industry, focusing on teaching techniques that foster creativity and productivity in daily salon work.

術業有專攻 熱情投身染髮

Dieter矢志做一名傑出的技術師。當被問到怎樣才可稱作一個優秀技術師時,他表示他「一直都擁有無比的熱情…14年來我並未去跨足剪髮領域。我加入Wildlife這個沙龍已經超過十個年頭。每位學徒在第三年時都要在髮型師和技術師之間做個抉擇。我認為一個優秀技術師不能產生剪與染的瑜亮情結,或者誰比誰重要的思維。技術師一定要緊密與髮型師合作,全面了解顧客真正的需求。」

 

Dieter is purely a hairdressing color technician at Wild Life Hair. When asked about how he would define a good colorist, he replied he has “Passion for colour…I haven’t picked up a pair of scissors in 14 years. I joined Wildlife and is celebrating 10 years at Wildlife. 3rd year apprentices gets to choose to be either a stylists or colourist. A good colourist should never think that the colour is above the cut or vice versa; they should always work with the stylists for a complete understanding of what the client is after.”

透過Goldwell國際舞台 累積開闊視野與經驗

這個業界裡,通常可見髮型師獲得掌聲,技術師往往被忽略;而且技術師常得自己關在後面調染膏。但是Dieter獲得了許多難得經驗,跟著Goldewell一起演出大秀,踏遍澳洲、美國、墨西哥、南非、德國甚至台灣,代表廣大技術師登上舞台發聲。技術師的地位是否已獲得應有的尊重呢?Dieter表示,「若是五年前,可能還不夠;但是近年來類似Color Zoom躍型耀色這樣的大活動,將染髮領域推上顛峰;透過Goldwell這樣的大公司,不斷推動技術師在業界中繼續百尺竿頭。」

 

It is usually the hair stylist who gets the recognition while the colourist gets left behind the scenes. And they are usually the ones in the back room mixing up colours

 

But Dieter has the great opportunities to do some big shows with Goldwell, traveling around Australia, America, Mexico, South Africa and Germany, being out there representing colourist. Do colourists get enough recognition? “5 years ago maybe not so great; but in recent years, events such as Trend Zoom has put colour into focus. Companies such as Goldwell push colourist to be on the forefront of the industry.”

染髮市場後來居上 肯定技術師貢獻

Dieter在技術領域的地位,讓他成為眾多媒體討教的對象,曾多次於受訪時表示,沙龍最主要的工作就是剪與染。他覺得染髮更有後來居上的趨勢。有些客人真的專程來染髮,這很實際的肯定了這些純技術師的重要性。當你探討染髮所貢獻的回客率時,你就會發現技術師對店內業績的巨大貢獻。

 

Dieter received many media impressions for his take on professional technicias.n once indicated in an interview that two major things occurring in salons is cut and colour hair. He thinks colour is taking over even. They have clients coming in just to colour hair, which brings recognition to those who colour and only colour hair. When considering the turnover that colouring brings into salons, colourists no doubt contribute a huge amount.

主張學如逆水行舟 不進則退

抱走眾多大獎無疑是一大成就。Dieter認為競賽有其重要性,因為表示參賽者廣受業界肯定,對他而言,這樣的肯定讓他引以為傲。Dieter曾入圍2006年Hair Expo的美髮教育菁英獎,也是Goldwell的客座講師。他深具與設計師分享色彩熱情的能力。談到他的教育哲學,他指出「與Goldwell合作14年了,我感到教育之於這個產業,無可取代。學如逆水行舟,不進則退。一旦學習停滯,還不如退休吧。」

 

Getting all the big awards are certainly some achievements. Dieter feels that through competition, one can get recognition from this industry and, for him, that’s what makes him the proudest. Dieter has been a finalist of Hair Expo Excellence in Hairdressing Education 2006 and a guest artist with Goldwell. He is able to share with all colourists his passion for colour perfection. Talking about his philosophy of education, he indicated, “Educator with Goldwell for 14 years, feels education is invaluable to those in the industry. One should never stop learning, the day one stops learning, one might as well retire.”
