15年前，Anthony Mascolo被邀請到Alternative Hair擔任總裁，那時候他就想為那些默默無聞但是創意超前的美髮師們創造一個舞台，於是Visionary Award誕生了。

Anthony的哲學一直是尋找和提拔人才，Visionary Award提供了一個機會給那些年輕還未受到認可的人，一個可以被認可的機會，獲獎人將再度被邀請到未來的Alternative Hair Show表演。

今年Visionary Award在愛爾蘭和台灣都舉辦了影像和實體比賽初選，分為三個項目：Cut & Colour、 Men、和 Avant-Garde。獲獎者會被邀請至倫敦參與每年的決賽，穿插在Alternative Hair Show的環節裡。

15年來，Visionary Award成為了Alternative Hair Show夜晚的重頭戲，來自英國、歐洲、中國、新加坡、日本、馬來西亞、台灣與澳洲…..決賽選手來自全世界。

15 years ago, when Anthony Mascolo was invited to become President of Alternative Hair he suggested holding an event to show-case unknown creative hairdressers. His idea became The Visionary Awards.

Anthony’s philosophy has always been to find and promote new talent. The Visionary Awards provides opportunities for young and unrecognised hairdressers to show their work and gain recognition, with winners being invited to participate in future Alternative Hair Shows.

The Visionary Awards is a photographic competition with live events this year held in Ireland and Taiwan. The finalists of the 3 categories: Cut & Colour, Men’s and Avant-Garde, are, each year, invited to participate in the Visionary Award Show at the Alternative Hair Show.

Over the last 15 years the Visionary Awards has grown to become a major part of the evening, this year with finalists from across the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, China, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Australia.
