由英國專業美髮雜誌Hairdressers Journal International主辦的British Hairdressing Awards堂堂邁入40年，2016年的頒獎典禮於11月28日盛大舉辦，共有超過1700位美髮人集結於倫敦Grosvenor House，一同見證各大獎項揭曉的時刻。

<p>這40年裡，BHA挖掘出無數位髮型大師，John Frieda、Nicky Clarke、Charles Worthington、Anthony Mascolo、Lisa Shepherd和Beverley C都曾獲得BHA的肯定。此外BHA也提供本土沙龍一個被看見的舞台，一旦獲獎，等於獲得一飛衝天的好機會。</p>

<p>Hairdressers Journal International hosted its British Hairdressing Awards last night, with 1,700 of the country’s finest hairstylists gathering at London’s glamorous Grosvenor House, a J W Marriott Hotel, for the industry event of the year.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Now in their fourth decade, the awards, which are sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, celebrate the very best in British hairdressing talent – an industry which contributes £7bn to the national economy and one which employs more than 300,000 people.</p>

<p>This year’s ceremony was hosted by David Walliams, alongside Hairdressers Journal International’s executive director, Jayne Lewis-Orr. Jayne says: “A British Hairdressing Award is the ultimate accolade in hairdressing and we couldn’t be more proud to present them to our winners today. The award demonstrates not only unabashed creativity and supreme technical skill, but also marks you out as one of the greatest hairdressers in the country.”</p>

<p>BHA共分為9項區域類別與6項專業類別，其中最受矚目的莫過於年度最佳髮型師之榮耀，今年由比賽常勝軍Angelo Seminara獲得，他發表感言：「我要感謝兩個人，一個是我的妻子，另一個，是我的恩師Trevor Sorbie。能參與這樣的盛會讓我深受啟發，英國的美髮圈擁有多麼多的才華，而且越來越多有潛力的人才出現，真的很值得期待！」</p>

<p>With nine regional and six specialist categories - as well as the ultimate award, British Hairdresser of the Year - the awards have launched the careers of a host of household names; from John Frieda, Nicky Clarke and Charles Worthington to Anthony Mascolo, Lisa Shepherd and Beverley C, as well as TV favourites Jamie Stevens and Andrew Barton.</p>

<p>The most-anticipated prize on the night was HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year. This year, the ultimate accolade in British Hairdressing was awarded to Angelo Seminara. Speaking on the night, he said: “Sitting here tonight and seeing the amount of work that's gone into everyone's collections is inspirational. The British hairdressing industry is full of such amazing talent and it just keeps growing. I need to thank two people who have enabled me to be where I am today - my wife and, of course, Trevor Sorbie.”</p>
